Great deal guys, blogger has really made blogging interest and so to say very great by adding so many great future. Well in the post I will be talking on how to change your template in blogger and make it really look beautiful... yes beautiful.
In other to do this you have to remove the old mentality of using the normal blog templates provided by blogger. well I must tell you that the one i have used here is a free template which I downloaded online and as you can see it is very cool. Ok lets dive into the job of the day.
Step 1. Go to google.com and search for great templates, you can actually search for templates using some key words. e.g Best blogger templates for free download. If you do this, you will see some nice sites giving free templates for you to download. Or you can go to the sites listed below for some templates

Great now you have downloaded the template
Step 2. Extract the template using any zip extracting software, I will suggest you use winzip. In the folder you will see a notepad file congrats that is the xml file containing the template. You can now upload the file. There are two major ways I use
1. Uploading the file directly from the containing folder
2. Coping the contact of the file. Don't worry i will explain this in more details.
haven't extracted the zip file ensure to safe in a known location.
Step 3. Now go to your blogger dashboard click on template. Now you must ensure to back up your former blogging file by clicking on backup/restore and then downloading and saving the content to a known destination on your hard disk. Ok good you have done that....
Method 1. After the backup click on choose file and browse to the location where you saved the template we downloaded and extracted in step 1 and 2 above and then click upload to override your old templates.
Method 2. Click on Edit html and then open and copy the contents of the notepad containing the templates, clear the former template and paste the new one inside the edit html box. Save the template, great you have just saved your new template.
Step 4. Now that you have you template installed lets walk through setting up your pages. Note pages are set up using label. So by now you must have heard some labels in your blog but if not don't worry just stay with me on my next post I will be talking on how to create labels and make a quality post. But if you have your labels set up already good now you will have to look for some html tags on the edit html dailogu box. To look for this tags use the command Control plus F on your Window or Apple plus F on your Mac this will pop up a search label at the right top side, on the search button look for "<a href='#' " or one of the name of the pages that came with the template for example... like the one below using either Blogging, SEO,Tutorial or any other page on the template this will take you to the area where you will specify your label categories and also put in the links.

The code you see here is one of the links I used in my own and the blue code is the main link while the red writing shows the name of the label in my site as a page. So when you see the < href= '#' simply remove the # and place your own link there, do same for all the labels you want to publish there and hurrah..
